PCS SUSTAINABLE DECONTAMINATION PROCESS TO PROTECT PUBLIC HEALTH

• TEACHING AND LARGE COMMUNITY HOSPITALS
• LONG TERM CARE FACILITIES
• HOSPITALITY INDUSTRIES
• WHEREVER GENERAL PUBLIC GATHER INDOORS
• EDUCATION AND INSTITUTIONS WHERE CHILDREN MAY BE PRESENT

PCS believes it is time to reduce the use of very powerful disinfectants. Overuse of these very potent disinfectants can be compared with over prescribing the most potent antibiotics.

PCS SUSTAINABLE DECONTAMINATION PROCESS

1. Apply PCS 250 Oxidizing Disinfectant/Disinfectant Cleaner with pre moistened PCS wiper. This is a ready to use solution of 250 parts per million of sodium hypochlorite in an alkalie solution that provides Oxidizing of organic soils. Saponification of fatty acid soils
Reduces bacterial adhesion to surfaces
Low concentration of bleach with very low odour ,unlikely to stain cloths or cause sensitive individuals to react.
Registered with Health Canada as a hospital grade disinfectant. DIN 02314843

2. Wipe surface with PCS microfibre cloth dampened in a solution of 200 ppm of PCS MicroQuat. Removes oxidized, soponified soils and detached bacteria. At 200 ppm or 1 to 256 dilution PCS MicroQuat is approved as no rinse sanitizer for direct food contact surfaces. PCS MicroQuat at the recommended dilution acts synergistically with PCS microfibre cloths
PCS MicroQuat Disinfectant Cleaner is a phosphate free concentrated detergent/disinfectant which provides effective cleaning, deodorizing, disinfection and sanitizing. Health Canada DIN 02380676

Residual Viral and Bacterial Contamination of Surfaces after Cleaning and Disinfection

Sodium Hypochlorite was the only commonly used hospital disinfectant to have lethal effects on all microbes tested. Comparison of efficacy profiles for minimum lethal concentrations (MLCs) of some commonly used commercial hospital microbicidal detergent-disinfectant products for disinfectants and sporicidal activity
